Every Nation, Tribe, People, and Language

Every Sunday morning is always an amazing blessing as we worship together, but a couple of Sunday’s ago we had a great time together at Rosemont Baptist! First, we spent time learning about “Last Things” during the Sunday morning sermon. What a joy it was to preach about the hope of believer’s resurrection, the fact of the second coming of Jesus, and the joy of eternity! It is my opinion believers do not spent enough time thinking and dwelling on our eternity. To preach on it encouraged my soul and I pray that others were also strengthened and encouraged by the message as well.

In addition to the Sunday morning worship, that evening we had a dinner with Iglesia Horeb, our Hispanic sister church. It was a blessing to spend time with these precious brothers and sisters in Christ and  I felt like we had a taste of what Revelation 7:9-10 speaks of:

“After this I looked, and there was a vast multitude from every nation, tribe, people, and language, which no one could number, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were robed in white with palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice: Salvation belongs to our God, who is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb!”

What a glorious day it will be when believers from all over the world will gather in heaven before the throne of Jesus and praise Him together. The curse of the Tower of Babel will be reversed and once more language will not be a barrier between Christ-followers. Believers from every nation, every tribe, every people, and every language praising God together.

I don’t know if we all speak the same language or if we will just have the ability to understand every language and it doesn’t really matter. The point is spending eternity with all those throughout history who are part of the Bride of Christ will be an amazingly, joyful, eternity of worship.

Come, Lord Jesus!
