The holiday season is here, and with it comes a focus on family, traditions, social events, and cheer…all of which can cause difficult emotions to surface.  Whether this is the first, second, or tenth holiday after your loved one’s death, the emotions that may arise in the days ahead can blindside you.

And just like road signs, which show you what’s ahead on unfamiliar roads with rough patches and curves, Surviving the Holidays guides you through this holiday season.  You’ll find support and direction to navigate the holidays in a healthy way.

Our next GriefShare Surviving the Holidays Group will be on November 18,  2025, from 2 to 4pm in the Fellowship Hall.  It will be led by Sue Hartman and Sharon Lorenzen.

For questions you can call the church office at 970.249.2887.

A GriefShare support group is a safe, welcoming place where people understand the difficult emotions of grief. Through this 13-week group, you’ll discover what to expect in the days ahead and what’s “normal” in grief. Since there are no neat, orderly stages of grief, you’ll learn helpful ways of coping with grief, in all its unpredictability—and gain solid support each step of the way.

Are you grieving the loss of a loved one? You are not alone.

GriefShare is a support group that meets weekly and is open to anyone in our community that is grieving the loss of someone they love. You will find it to be a warm, caring environment and will come to see your group as an "oasis" on your long journey through grief.

Our next GriefShare Group session dates will be posted here when the dates and times are set.  It will be led by Sue Hartman and Sharon Lorenzen.
